Scholarship students highlighted in recital
North Jersey Piano Teachers Association will be presenting it’s annual Scholarship Recital on Saturday, March 28 at 1 p.m. at the Lafayette Federated Church on Route 15, Lafayette. Every year participating piano teachers raise funds for scholarships to be awarded to students majoring or minoring in piano. This year’s recipients are Bryce Bartling and Jordan Maylath, both seniors and students of Beverly Flormann, and Jenna Lobby a senior at Hackettstown High School and a student of Irene McCormick. Bartling will be performing “Friska” from the Hungarian Rhapsody by Franz Liszt, Maylath will be performing the third movement from Beethovens Moonlight Sonata and Lobby will perform a movement from Clements Op. 36. Other intermediate and advanced performing students are students of Dori Martin, Ed and Margaret Korcynski, Eleanor Omara, Betty Lang, Irene McCormick and Bev Flormann. Donations will be accepted.
