Town Criers Coming to town

Newton -The North American Town Crier Competition and Fall Festival will take place on Spring Street in Newton. In honor of Newton's 140th anniversary and Town Criers from around the country, Canada and Bermuda will come to compete in this one-of-a-kind event. Organizers are looking for vendors, crafters, farm produce suppliers, food vendors and non-profit organizations to set up shop on downtown Newton. There will not be a charge for participating vendors. Spring Street will be closed from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. for the historic event. For more information call the chamber at 973-300-0433.
