Tri-State Actors Theater holds auditions for 'A Christmas Carol'
NEWTON — Tri-State Actors Theater will be holding an open Non-Equity audition for A Christmas Carol on Oct. 26 from noon to 8 p.m. The audition will be held in the Green Room at the Performing Arts Center, Building A, Sussex County Community College, College Hill Road in Newton.
Tri-State’s presentation of A Christmas Carol, adapted by Artistic Director Paul Meacham from Charles Dickens’ novel, has become a Sussex County holiday tradition. All roles, except Scrooge, are currently available. Non-Equity actors being sought for: Actor #1 – male, 18-20, Actor #2 and #3 – male, 25-35, Actor #4 – female, 18-20, and Actor #5 – female, 25-35. Each actor will play multiple roles.
All auditioners should bring a picture and resume, stapled together. Actors will be auditioned by Tri-State director, Paul Meacham. Rehearsals begin Nov. 27 and performances dates are Dec. 13 through Dec. 23. Actors must be available for all rehearsals and all performances. Sides (selected dialogue for each character) will be provided at the audition.
