Legends coming to local stages
MUSIC. Celebrated New York Blues Hall of Famer Dave Fields and Ray DeLear, a longtime singer-songwriter-music teacher, will perform in Sparta.
Friday, Jan. 3
The Dave & John Acoustic Duo will kick off the night with their upbeat, feel-good renditions of hits from the past few decades at 6 p.m. at the Lafayette House, 75 Route 15.
Dave Fields, a celebrated New York Blues Hall of Famer and Fodera Guitar artist, will light up Krogh’s Restaurant & Brew Pub, 23 White Deer Plaza, Sparta, at 6:30 p.m. Known for his soulful singing and virtuosic guitar work, Fields blends blues, rock and other genres into scintillating performances.
At 7 p.m., head over to McQ’s Pub at Lake Lenape, 168 Andover Sparta Road, Newton, for the Tennessee Honey Band. This acoustic-driven contemporary country cover band will deliver a spirited mix of New Country and ’90s pop hits, perfect for fans of modern and nostalgic tunes alike.
Saturday, Jan. 4
Parachute Adams takes the stage at 6 p.m. at the Lafayette House, with its distinctive “TrOutlaw Country” sound: a blend of Americana, old and new country, folk, rock, and compelling originals.
Or enjoy the nostalgic stylings of Scott Ringle at McQ’s Pub, also at 6 p.m. Born and raised in New Jersey, Ringle will treat audiences to a set filled with pop/rock hits spanning the 1950s to the 1980s and beyond.

Don’t miss the return of Ray DeLear at Krogh’s, starting at 6:30 p.m. A local legend with more than 20 years of experience performing in Sussex and Orange counties, DeLear blends acoustic music across popular genres, folk, traditional Irish melodies and original compositions.
