A bank robbery that occurred the morning of Friday, July 7 in Netcong is under investigation, officials said.
About 10:15 a.m., law enforcement received a 9-1-1 call reporting a robbery at the Fulton Bank, 9 Ledgewood Ave.
An investigation showed that a male entered the bank branch and demanded money. No weapon was displayed or threatened.
He fled the bank with about $14,000.
The suspect is believed to be a white or Hispanic male, in his 20s or 30s. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and a blue surgical-style face mask. He was carrying a shoebox-sized box.
Numerous law enforcement agencies are participating in this investigation. They include the Netcong Police Department, Morris County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigations Unit, Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, New Jersey State Police, and FBI.
