Registration open for Labor Day 5K
SPARTA. The seventh annual race will benefit the Lake Mohawk Preservation Foundation and other local environmental initiatives and nonprofits.

The law firm of Askin & Hooker will sponsor the seventh annual Labor Day 5K on Monday, Sept. 2 at the Lake Mohawk Plaza in Sparta.

Day-of-race registration is from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. The race begins at 9 a.m.
The race will benefit the Lake Mohawk Preservation Foundation and other local environmental initiatives and nonprofits.
”We are deeply committed to environmental stewardship, which is why we are so proud of this annual event,” said Bill Askin, a partner in the law firm and president of the Lake Mohawk Preservation Foundation.
”We are proud of the growth in community involvement in this event and the money we have raised to benefit the Lake Mohawk Preservation Foundation.”
Since 2016, the race has raised more than $35,000 for the foundation.
“We are thrilled to announce another fantastic race that supports a local cause. Participants can showcase their speed and skills while contributing to the preservation of our natural resources in Sussex County,” said Todd Hooker, a partner at Askin & Hooker.
