Hewitts Jean Coe part of Seton Hall's “Beholding the Merciful Face of God”
SOUTH ORANGE Jean Coe of Hewitt is one of ten students who will play a crucial role at Seton Hall University’s Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology on Saturday, April 18. Coe and her peers all of whom attend graduate school at the School of Theology will lead an inspiring retreat titled “Beholding the Merciful Face of God.” The event is open to all and will take place from 1-5 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Seminary in Lewis Hall on Seton Hall’s main South Orange campus. The registration fee is $10. Please make all checks payable to Immaculate Conception Seminary. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged; Call Deborah Kurus at (973) 313-6329 or kurusdeb@shu.edu to register. “Beholding the Merciful Face of God” culminates the lessons the students have learned through their classes. These students have gained experience and practice in the skill of public speaking, which is necessary for those who will lead their parishes in the future. “Beholding the Merciful Face of God” is sponsored by the Center for Prayerfully Speaking, Institute for Christian Spirituality. Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology started the Institute for Christian Spirituality in order to provide a center where those already in ministry or those considering a vocation to ministry, may obtain a solid foundation in their faith, learn effective skills in pastoral ministry and leadership, and be given tools for discernment and spiritual growth.
