Muriel G. Valecz (nee Stanaback), 94 years old, died peacefully at her residence at Avalon at Hillsborough in Hillsborough, N.J., on Sunday, September 8, 2019. Born to Kenneth and Mabel Stanaback in Franklin, NJ, she had lived in Franklin till 1989 then moved to Sandyston Twp., N.J., before moving to Hillsborough, NJ in 2011.
Muriel worked as a supervisor at The Custom Shop at Morley’s Shirt Company in Franklin, N.J., for over 40 years retiring in 1995. Muriel also worked as a waitress for many years at Perona Farms. She was a member of the Sandyston Senior Citizens and a former member of the Franklin First Presbyterian Church.
Muriel is predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Stephen J. Valecz (1995), a daughter, Judith A. Veres(2009) and 2 sisters, Evelyn Fetterman and Elizabeth Bleuzen and is the devoted mother of Stephanie Yowell and her husband, Ron of Hillsborough, NJ. Loving grandmother of Christie Meyerriecks and her husband, Keith of Milford, PA and John Veres, Jr. of Sandyston Twp., NJ. Great grandmother of Alex-Marie and Devin Meyerriecks of Milford, Pa. Cherished by several nieces, a nephew, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.
The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, N.J., on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, from 2-6 p.m. Funeral service will be Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at North Hardyston Cemetery, Hardyston Twp., NJ.
