ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP Richard Yocum will be honored as the Department for Persons with Disabilities’ (DPD) Humanitarian of the Year on Monday, June 30 during the 34th Wiegand Farm Golf Classic at the Picatinny Arsenal Golf Club. He is currently serving his 16th year on the Jefferson Township Council and has been president for the past 10 years. Prior to that, he served on the Jefferson Township Board of Education including four years as president. Yocum is a humane law enforcement officer for the New Jersey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal (NJSPCA). To participate in the golf classic, contact Roy De Franco at 973-697-1230. The cost per golfer is $150, which includes green fees, golf cart, door prizes, other prizes, a BBQ lunch and a buffett dinner following golf.
