A very special thank you
On behalf of the Cimaglia family, a very heartfelt thank you is being passed to Milano’s Restaurant on Route 94 in McAfee, for the extreme love and kindness shown on Dec. 8, 2008. Milano’s went out of their way to have a fundraising dinner for Louis Cimaglia, who is one of their own. Louis is a Monmouth College graduate, who, at the time, lay critically ill and in a coma at a South Jersey hospital following a car accident Nov. 21, 2008. The staff worked on the one and only day the restaurant is normally closed, from noon to midnight (or better I am sure) with a constant smile, and with speed and accuracy like I have never seen. The outpouring of support and well wishes can never be measured, but will always be treasured. Special thanks to Tony, the owner of Milano’s, who volunteered the night and all the food. To Susan, the beautiful hostess, who smiled and gave the family and friends loving hugs when needed, and to the dedicated waiters and waitresses who not only hustled around, but at the end of the night gave all tips given them to the fund and kept nothing. And last but not least, to those unseen people in the kitchen that kept the wonderful food coming, hot and in a timely manner. So, to all of you thank you. Thank you many times over. May god bless and keep you always. The Cimaglia family, and the Cimaglia family healing fund, c/o Rev. Victoria Goodbar, PO Box 382, McAfee, NJ 07428. Editor’s note: Former Vernon resident Lou Cimaglia had been a waiter at Milano’s for several years and many of the restaurant’s patrons had befriended him.
