Celebrating Graduation with the commander in chief

U.S. Navy Ensign Kyle J. Abner graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis on Friday, May 22 and was commissioned as an officer in the Navy. He also earned a bachelor of science degree with a major in economics. He has been assigned to become a Navy pilot and will begin training at Naval Air Station Pensacola, where he will attend flight school. Abner is a 2004 graduate of Vernon High School and a 2005 graduate of The Kiski School in Saltsburg, Pa. He was a varsity swimmer in high school and swam at the Naval Academy. He is the son of John and Karen Abner.
