Chamber scholarship winners named

Sussex County Chamber of Commerce President Tammie Horsfield congratulates Chamber scholarship winners Zachary Maher of Vernon Township High School and Tim McEvoy of High Point Regional High School. McEvoy will attend The Catholic University of America and Maher will study at Yale University. The two are among seven area students who received scholarships from the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce for the 2009-2010 school year. The scholarships will be used for education at a college, professional, technical, vocational or business school. Other winners are Shara Nguyen, Kittatinny Regional High School; Paul Bowden, Wallkill Valley Regional High School; Oliver Badeoui, Sparta Township High School; Ashley Hastings, Vernon Township High School; and Timothy Stromberg, High Point Regional High School. The chamber also contributed $1,000 to the Sussex County Community College Foundation to be awarded to area students attending that college.
