Fighting readers

Battle of the Books is a statewide reading incentive program, coordinated by librarians. This program allows students to compete against multiple teams at various levels within their respective school district and/or state. This year Lafayette Township School hosted its first “battle” competing against Hilltop Country Day School. Third- and fourth-graders answered questions about selected books they had read over the last few months. The Hilltop “Fudge Volcanoes” won on the third-grade level and Lafayette’s “Comrades” were the fourth-grade winners.
