FRANKLIN POLICE

On June 17, 2009 at approximately 10:25 a.m., Patrolmen Seamus Geddis and Jeffrey Korger along with Det. Kinney of the Franklin Police Department responded to a house on Main Street for a reported missing person out of Vernon Township. The Franklin Police located the missing person, 26-year-old Heidi Asencio, who was in the company of 25-year-old Miguel Matos. Matos was subsequently arrested on a state parole warrant after he was found hiding inside the residence. Asencio was arrested as well and charged with hindering the apprehension of Matos. Asencio was processed and released pending a court date in Franklin Municipal Court. Matos was processed and transported to the Sussex County Jail to await extradition to Passaic County.
