Three arrested for drug offenses after motor vehicle stop On Sunday, Feb. 15, at 1:07 p.m., a 1995 Saturn being operated by a 17-year-old male from Parsippany was stopped on Hillside Drive for multiple motor vehicle violations. After a brief roadside investigation, the juvenile, along with two adult passengers, were arrested for assorted drug violations. They were all transported to the Hamburg Police Station, and were charged as follows: The juvenile was issued motor vehicle summonses for loud exhaust, cracked windshield, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, unsafe tires, unsafe vehicle and violation of a provisional drivers license. Juvenile complaints are being prepared for disorderly persons offenses of possession of marijuana under 50 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Passenger Christopher C. Barrett, 18, of Hamburg, was charged with third-degree crimes of possession of a schedule 111 controlled dangerous substance (narcotic analgesic tablets), and unlawful possession of prescription legend drugs. He was also charged with disorderly persons offenses for possession of drug paraphernalia, and improper storage of prescription drugs. Passenger Steven K. Robinson, 18, of Hamburg, was charged with disorderly persons offenses for possession of marijuana under 50 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The juvenile was released to his mother pending an appearance in Family Court. The adults were released from custody pending appearances in the Hamburg Municipal Court on Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. Patrolman David McNulty investigated the incident and was assisted by Franklin Detective Leo Kinney and Hamburg Sgt. Erik Aronson, Driving without headlights leads to DWI arrest On Friday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m., a 2009 Toyota being operated by Judith M. Camey, 65, of Wantage, was stopped on Route 23 by Winding Brook Road after it was observed being operated without its headlights on. After a brief roadside investigation, Camey was arrested for driving while intoxicated. She was transported to the Hamburg Police Station, where she was charged with failure to use headlights when required, driving while intoxicated, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. She was released from custody pending an appearance in the Hamburg Municipal Court on Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. Patrolman Andrew Chase investigated the incident. Erratic driver call leads to DWI arrest On Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 10:46 p.m., Hamburg Police received a report of an erratic driver on Route 23. The vehicle had stopped in the parking lot of a business on Route 23, where patrols located and ultimately arrested the driver, Jennifer S. Schreiber, 26, of Wantage, for driving while intoxicated. She was transported to the Hamburg Police Station, where she was charged with DWI and careless driving, then released pending an appearance in the Hamburg Municipal Court on Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. Patrolman David McNulty investigated the incident and was assisted by Sgt. Erik Aronson and Patrolman Andrew Chase.
