Honoring veterans

Sunny skies prevailed as Vernon honored veterans during its Memorial Day ceremonies. The event was sponsored by the township’s Veterans of Foreign Wars. In addition to the band, over a dozen classic cars, hot rods, and other unique vehicles took part in the parade, along with representatives of the township’s various fire departments. The Rev. Robert F. Solon Jr., vicar of St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, gave the invocation.
