hree three-year terms on the High Point Regional High School Board of Education will open up this year. It is not yet known whether the three incumbents will file to run again for their seats, but residents who want to be on the ballot must meet the 4 p.m. deadline on Monday, March 2 to file their nominating petitions. The election will be held Tuesday, April 21. Terms coming up for election are to represent Branchville, Frankford and Lafayette. Joseph Hoffmann currently holds the Frankford seat; Thomas Case represents Branchville and Walter Stumpf Jr. represents Lafayette. Prospective school board candidates can get a “School Board Candidate Kit” at the school district office at 299 Pigeon Hill Rd., Sussex. The kit is published by the New Jersey School Boards Association and includes a sample nominating petition and information about legal qualifications for school board candidacy and the role of the school board member.
