Institute for Spiritual Development open house

Sparta — The Institute for Spiritual Development and Holistic Center invites the community to its Seasons of Change Open House Gala on Saturday, Oct. 24. This educational day will begin at 10 a.m. and feature six hour-long mini workshops and culminate at 5 p.m. with a Shamanic Boat Drumming Healing Service, led by Terence Mulligan, Rev. Karen Slember and Shaman John Drinkard. . Kathy Kerston, director of the institute and international astrologer, will be leading a workshop titled Balance your Orbit, based on her book by the same name. Jill Kneer, certified Emotional Freedom Technique practitioner, and experienced psychic, will give a workshop titled Tapping into Yourself. Karen Rose Slember, a minister at the institute, teacher, and professional psychic/medium with an international clientele, will be teaching a workshop titled The Intuitive You. There will be an all day Psychic Fair with the institute’s readers in the area of psychic, mediumship, tarot, palmistry, psychometry, angel cards and scrying. There will be other workshops, as well. An admission fee of $8 includes all workshops and the Shamanic Boat Drumming Healing Service. The Inner Journey Book and Gift Shop will have a totally new line of gifts that are handcrafted by American artists. The institute is located at 15 Sparta Ave., in Sparta.
