Ryan Freda of Lafayette graduated summa cum laude from DeSales University with a bachelor’s degree in sport management and finance. He graduated with a final GPA of 3.91 and was vice president of Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society of Business. He also held a number of additional leadership roles, including vice president of finance and fundraising for the DeSales Sport Management Society. He was a member of the DeSales men’s soccer team and represented the university at the 2024 NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum. He will stay at DeSales to complete an MBA while working as a graduate assistant in the Office of Institutional Advancement.

Abigail Buccieri of Oak Ridge graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., in May.

Jolie Correa of Hamburg earned a bachelor’s degree from Adelphi University on May 21.

Preston Peoples of Lafayette graduated from the State University of New York at Potsdam with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and new media.

Tea Magner of Hamburg, a member of the Class of 2025 majoring in architectural engineering at Worcester (Mass.) Polytechnic Institute, was a member of a student team that completed an intense research project titled “Promoting Sustainable Tourism in Amphawa.” All undergraduates are required to complete a research-driven, professional-level project that applies science and technology that addresses an important societal need or issue.

Kyle Forchette of Ogdensburg was among the 75 University of Scranton students inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu, the national Jesuit honor society. Juniors, seniors and graduate students who have distinguished themselves in scholarship, loyalty and service are eligible for membership. Forchette is a senior pursuing a biochemistry, cell, molecular biology degree at the Jesuit university in Pennsylvania.
