• James Castagna of Lafayette received a master’s degree in nursing from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., in May.
• Making the spring dean’s list at William Paterson University in Wayne are Danielle Grimm, Ryan Menczak and Julia Todd, all of Franklin; Alexa Barbara, Crystal Caamano, Angela Gonzales, Brianna Ingham and Nicholas Nolan, all of Hamburg; Vincent Aulisi and Mileny Jiatz, both of Lafayette; Rianna Degraaf, Sam Opilla, Hannah Panzarella and Yeshua Perez, all of Ogdensburg; and Hannah Posser of Stockholm. A grade point average (GPA) of 3.45 or higher was required.
• Sarah Pilaar of Oak Ridge was named to the spring dean’s list at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. A GPA of 3.4 or higher was required.
• Samantha Hazen of Oak Ridge was named to the spring dean’s list at Bryant University at Smithfield, R.I. A GPA of at least 3.4 was required.
• Joanne Baez of Hamburg and Lauren Liaci of Oak Ridge made the spring dean’s list at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa. Baez is majoring in biology and Liaci is majoring in health-care administration.
• Gabrielle Ciesla, a physical education major from Oak Ridge; Brooke O’Connor, a psychology major from Oak Ridge; and Willow Palmer, an exercise science major from Ogdensburg, were named to the spring dean’s list at East Stroudsburg (Pa.) University.
• Named to the spring dean’s list at Sussex County Community College were Franklin residents Gabriella Billgert, Andrew Birkelbach, Sophia Clohessey, Shakeel Danwatta, Lindsey Dorsett, Elijah Fischer, Michael Gallagher, Delaney Korger. Daniel Lamlamay, Jon Matzko, Josiah Maynard, Carly Millier, Julia Richards, Melanie Salerno, Makayla Snyder and Brandon Todd. A GPA of at least 3.5 was required.
• C.J. Warsh of Lafayette, a theatre major at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa., was the stage operations supervisor for the university’s Act 1 production of “The Drowsy Chaperone” from April 24 to May 5.
• Kyle Forchette of Ogdensburg was among the 43 University of Scranton (Pa.) students inducted into Beta Beta Beta, the national honor society for biology. Students were required to complete at least three biology courses, maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 in biology, and be in good academic standing at the university.
• Named to the fall dean’s list at Rochester (N.Y.) Institute of Technology were John Grinthal of Lafayette, who is in the management information systems program; Sophie Quail of Oak Ridge, who is in the biotechnology and molecular bioscience program; and Owen Cheevers of Oak Ridge, who is in the physics program. A GPA of 3.4 or higher was required.
• Michael Johnson of Hamburg was named to the fall dean’s list at University of Maryland global campus in Adelphi. A GPA of at least 3.5 was needed.
• Jacqueline Taylor of Oak Ridge was named to the fall presidential honor list at New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury. A GPA of 3.7 or higher was required.
• Named to the fall dean’s list at Tufts University in Medford, Mass., were Noah Adelsberg of Hamburg, Arielle Ortega of Lafayette, Chaya Ortega of Lafayette and Audrey Sacks of Lafayette. A GPA of 3.4 or higher was needed.
• Matthew Hunter Palus of Oak Ridge was named to first honors on the fall dean’s list at Clark University in Worcester, Mass. A GPA of 3.8 or higher was required for first honors.
