Father John's Animal House announces challenge grant

LAFAYETTE — At Father John’s Animal House’s Beefsteak Dinner fundraising event on February 6th, Shelter Director Karen Yost announced a challenge grant to support the general operating and direct care costs associated with animal care, adoption and rescue.
Margaret Post, a long-time supporter of the shelter and the president of the board, is sponsoring the challenge grant. The challenge grant became effective on Feb. 6 and will continue until Dec. 31.
The grant is contingent upon a match from other donors. For every $1 donated toward the grant, the challenge grant will match it with $2 with a maximum match of $250,000.
Father John’s Animal House was established 16 years ago and was fully rebuilt 4 years ago. The state-of-the art facility features indoor-outdoor kennel runs, free roaming rooms for cats, a veterinary technician lab, and 2 spacious and fully enclosed play yards for dogs.
