FBLA members attend conference

Seven local officers of the Wallkill Valley Regional High School chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) attended the New Jersey FBLA-PBL Fall Leadership Conference at the Pines Manor in Edison on Oct. 14.
Co-Presidents Kayla Bifano and Scott Mueller, Secretary Anastasia Schroeder, Community Service Vice Presidents Garett Koch, Sara Miceli, and Tyler Small, and Treasurer Amanda Spindler represented the chapter.
The theme of the conference was “New Jersey FBLA-PBL…Portraits of Success.”
The officers attended various workshops that focused on developing leadership skills. These workshops included “How to Land the Job of Your Dreams,” “Babies Are Our Future,” “Junior Achievement Titan Competition and Heroes Initiative,” “The Presidents’ Roundtable,” “High School to College,” and “So You Want to be an Officer.”
Kent Julian, the keynote speaker, gave an inspirational presentation on his principle of “E+R=O…Event + Response = Outcome.”
The officers had the opportunity to network with New Jersey FBLA members from various high schools.
