Cats, dogs, guinea pigs and rabbits were available for adoption.
Two Wallkill Valley Cadette Girl Scouts, Bella Velasco and Jenna Altieri, held a Pet Adoption Day on Aug. 6 at the Hamburg Firemen’s Pavilion.
It was their Girl Scout Silver Award project; the Silver Award is the highest for Cadette Girl Scouts.
Both Father John’s Animal House and St. Francis Animal Rescue brought cats, dogs, guinea pigs and rabbits to be adopted.
