HAMBURG — Wednesday, May 25, was a special day for students at the Hamburg School.
With a warm dry morning, history teacher Michael Blochinger directed 6th-grade student athletes through a series of mostly-modified Olympic games as students in the 2nd-grade enjoyed being the cheering supporters and spectators.
The events included relay races, running jumps, discus throwing, javelin throwing, and modified chariot races that instead were three-legged foot races. The event was held in Piggery Field behind the Hamburg School.
