Hamburg resident second in art competition

MAHWAH — Laura David of Hamburg, a student at Wallkill Valley Regional High School, placed second in the 2014 congressional art competition and was recognized by U.S. Rep. Scott Garrett.

She entered her piece, "Alex."
Seven other Wallkill Valley Regional High School students were recognized by Garrett for their participation in the 2014 Congressional Art competition.

They were presented with certificates by Garrett at Ramapo College.

Nicole Rotunda of Franklin participated with her piece, "Damien."

Jessica Kabbash of Franklin participated with her piece, "Innocence."

Sarah Lund of Franklin participated with her piece, "Morrocan Stroll."

Eliza Holland of Hamburg participated with her piece, "Coming Out of the Darkness."

Sarah Hadowanetz of Hamburg participated with her pieces, "Polish Beauty" and "Window to the Soul."

Victoria Kowalenko of Hamburg participated with her piece, "Rust in Peace."

Rocco Menna of Hamburg participated with his pieces, "Sparks Fly" and "Good Vibes."
