Kula ascends to Hardyston mayor
Hardyston. Stanley Kula is named the mayor of Hardyston Township on Jan. 2, while Carl Miller was named deputy mayor. The Township also honored MaryAnn Murphy for 20 years of service to the Recreation Dept.
Stanley J. Kula was sworn in as Hardyston Township Mayor for the year on Jan. 2.
Kula thanked his family, friends, and council members and looks forward to serving Hardyston Township. Carl Miller was declared Deputy Mayor.
Earlier in the meeting, Kula took the oath of office for his term along with Councilman Santo Verrilli.
Robert Washer was sworn in as Chief for the Hardyston Fire Department and Chris Frangipane took the oath of office for Captain of the fire department.
Service awards were presented to Washer for 10 years with the Fire Department, and also to Anthony Rosta for 10 years with the Fire Department.
MaryAnn Murphy was presented a 20-year service award for her dedication and work with the Recreation Department.
Many other appointments were made ranging from 9-1-1 coordinator to Council Liaison to the Hardyston Township Board of Ed.
