Lakeland Bank employees donated a total of $2,462 to help support SCARC, Inc. and The ARC of NJ. The donations were raised through the company’s monthly “Jeans Day” fundraiser, where employees are permitted to wear jeans on Fridays in exchange for a charitable donation of $10 or more per month.

“Year after year, SCARC and The ARC of NJ are on the list of charities our employees vote to support,” said Thomas Shara, president and CEO. “Given the popular response, both organizations now have a permanent spot on the list of charities the employees wear jeans for on Fridays.”

SCARC, Inc. based in Sussex County received $886 and the remaining $1,576 of the donation was split among the ARC of NJ chapters in Bergen, Essex, Morris, Passaic, and Warren counties. Both of these organizations are dedicated to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Learn more at scarcfoundation.org and arcnj.org.
