Lakeland Bank honors employees for longtime service

Lakeland Bank recognized seven colleagues for their 10 years of service to the company at ceremonies held earlier this year.

Jennifer Best, Michele Geniuk, Jeremy Greenman, Carolyn Luisi, Maria Miraglia, James Noonan and Christina Sacerdote all reached this significant milestone.

“It is a pleasure to reward our colleagues for their 10 years of service to the bank. Their long-term commitment to Lakeland Bank and our customers is an accomplishment that deserves recognition,” said Thomas J. Shara, president and chief executive officer of Lakeland Bank.

Best, a debit card & ATM processor, joined the bank in 2003 as a customer service representative at the Branchville office. Before transferring to her current position in Computer Services, she started her banking career with National Bank of Sussex County as a teller and worked for the Newton Trust Company as a teller manager. Best resides in Frankford Township.

Geniuk, a training assistant, joined Lakeland Bank in 2003 as a CSR in the Pompton Plains office. She was promoted in 2005 to assistant branch manager and transferred to the Franklin office. Before Lakeland Bank, Geniuk worked at Sussex Bank, United Jersey Bank. A graduate of Wallkill Valley High School, Geniuk resides in Newfoundland.

Greenman, vice president and commercial loan officer, began his career with First Fidelity and worked for several small community banks before joining Lakeland Bank in 2003. He is a member of the Salvation Army’s Morristown Advisory Board, the New Jersey National Association of Industrial & Office Properties, the Community Builders and Remodelers Association and is an active participant in the Morris County Chamber of Commerce. Greenman received his Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and his MBA from Seton Hall University. He resides in Glen Gardner.

Luisi, an assistant branch manager, joined Lakeland Bank in 2003 as an assistant branch manager at the Sparta office of Newton Trust. She transferred in 2005 to the Andover office and in 2007 to the Byram office. Before that, she worked for Heritage Bank North, Midlantic National Bank and Valley National Bank. She was named an Employee of the Quarter in 2011. Luisi is a member of her church choir and women’s club at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church and is an active member of the Air Force Association.

Miraglia, a collector, began her career with the bank in 2003 in the credit department. She graduated from Capri School of Hair Design, worked as a beautician and then went to work for ICS check services before joining Lakeland Bank.

Noonan, executive vice president and chief credit officer, joined Lakeland Bank in 2003. He began his banking career at People’s Trust of New Jersey and continued through the mergers with United Jersey Bank, Summit Bank, and Fleet National Bank. His experience includes commercial lending, credit policy and risk management. A graduate of SUNY New Paltz, Noonan received his MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Sacerdote, a vice president and loan workout officer, began working in the bank’s credit department in 2003. She received both her Bachelor’s degree in business management and her MBA in finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She completed the National Commercial Lending Graduate School sponsored by the American Bankers Association held at the University of Oklahoma.
