Police looking for armed robbers
WEST MILFORD — West Milford police are looking for two men who allegedly held three farmhands at gun point at Hidden Acres Farm last Friday and stole $100 in cash. No one was injured.
One of the men they are looking for is Giovanni Amore, 19, formerly of Ogdensburg. Amore was charged with first degree robbery, second degree unlawful possession of a handgun and possession of a handgun for unlawful purpose. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. Amore is known to frequent Ogdensburg, Wayne and Sparta, police said.
According to a release from West Milford Det./Sgt. Stephen Singerline, two men entered a trailer on Hidden Acres Farm at about 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 4. The men were wearing hoodies and items wrapped around their faces to conceal their identities. One of the intruders held a silver semi-automatic handgun to the head of one of the victims who recognized him as Amore, a previous employee of the farm. The second intruder entered a bedroom and removed $100 in cash. The two subsequently left the trailer on foot towards Westbrook Road.
The second man has not been identified but is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, possibly of Dominican descent, between 5'9" and 5'11", with dark hair and brown eyes. He spoke Spanish.
