Sussex County Historical Society holding annual meeting April 5
NEWTON — The Sussex County Historical Society will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday, April 5, at 7 p.m.
Wayne T. McCabe, president of the Society, announced that the meeting would be held in the large second-floor display room of the Hill Memorial Museum at 82 Main St. in Newton.
The annual meeting will focus on what the society is planning to do in 2017 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Hill Memorial building — the oldest museum building in New Jersey that was constructed as a museum and has been in continuous use for that purpose.
The other purpose of the annual meeting is to review the activities of the society during the past year and to elect members to the Board of Trustees.
McCabe encouraged society members and the general public to attend the meeting and learn about the society’s plans for the upcoming year. For additional information, call (973) 579–2525.
