Lifetime Hamburg resident Charlie McMickle is awarded Hamburg's 2014 Senior of the Year award.
McMickle joined the Hamburg Fire Department in 1966 and continues to serve as the department's secretary — a position which he has held for more than 20 years. Mayor Paul Marino called McMickle "the Voice of Hamburg" for the countless hours he has spent on the fire radio for the last 38 years.
McMickle was honored by the recognition.
"Hamburg is the greatest town to live in in the State of New Jersey," he said.
