LAFAYETTE — A steady stream of residents came to the park surrounding Lafayette Pond to enjoy the township’s second annual celebration.
Saturday’s event included numerous local vendors, free pony rides, a petting zoo, and much more.
The day also included a visit by the Marquis de Lafayette for whom the township was named. Portrayed by Councilman Rick Hughes, the Marquis mingled with residents as he toured the park. The Sussex County Sheriff’s Department was also on hand to meet and greet residents.
