Vernon Woman’s Club installs new officers
Vernon. Newly installed president Maria Dorsey said her goal for the year is to overcome fundraising obstacles caused by the coronavirus to bring happiness and relief to those in need.
The Vernon Township Woman’s Club recently held its installation ceremony to induct a new executive board for the 2020-22 term.
The all-volunteer, nonprofit club serves the community through charitable and philanthropic activities, and supports local organizations including Domestic Abuse Services (DASI), the Homestead Rehabilitation Center and Family Promise.
Newly installed president Maria Dorsey said she is looking forward to continuing the club’s history of service and kindness, but the coronavirus pandemic has severely derailed their fundraising efforts. Her goal for the upcoming year is to raise enough money to continue most of the activities that bring happiness and relief to those in need.
