Newton — The following classes and meetings will be held in June at the hospital or the Sparta Health & Wellness Center: Heartsaver Adult and Pediatric CPR will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Monday, June 22, at Sparta Health & Wellness Center; and from 7 to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23 at Newton Memorial Hospital. The cost is $35. Healthcare Provider CPR for New Providers will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesdays, June 10 and June 17, at Newton Memorial Hospital; from 7 to 10 p.m. on Thursdays, June 11 and June 18, at the Sparta Health & Wellness Center; and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 13 at Sparta Health & Wellness Center. The cost is $60. Healthcare Provider CPR Renewal will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 13 at Newton Memorial Hospital; from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Monday, June 15 at Newton Memorial Hospital; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 27 at Sparta Health & Wellness Center. The cost is $50. Family & Friends Adult & Pediatric CPR will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Monday, June 8, at Sparta Health & Wellness Center. The cost is $20. Heartsaver Adult First Aid with Adult, Child, Infant CPR will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 20 at Newton Memorial Hospital. The cost is $60. Prepared Childbirth classes to help prepare expectant parents will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays, June 7 and June 14. at Newton Memorial Hospital. Breast Cancer Support Group meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9 at the Sparta Health and Wellness Center. Course for children and their parents to help them better understand what will happen on the day of a surgical procedure at the hospital. The free course will be held from 7 to 8 p.m., on Thursdays, June 11 or 25. Man-to-Man Prostate Cancer Support Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, at the Sparta Health & Wellness Center. Smoking Cessation Through Hypnosis program will be held on Thursday, June 25, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Sparta Health & Wellness Center. The fee is $70, or $65 with a note from your physician. Sibling Preparation Class, designed for children ages 3 to 10, will teach big brothers and big sisters how to help care for a new baby. The course will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 28 at Newton Memorial Hospital. Newborn Parenting Class to help prepare expectant parents for the new addition to their family will be held from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 28 at Newton Memorial Hospital.
