So many great people in Franklin

After attending the annual spring concert given by the Franklin Band at Wallkill Valley High School last week, I was disappointed to see such little attendance. They deserve our support, it was a great concert. On another subject, I was surely happy to see that all members of the Franklin governing body voted in favor of supporting the Wallkill Valley First Aid Squad. Money well spent! Thanks, too, to the Francis M. Glynn post American Legion for organizing the great Memorial Day Parade, and thanks to all the participants, and to the townsfolks who came out to honor our war heroes. Although there was not a lot of coverage, these are the things that make our town so special. Bob Allen Franklin
