Jefferson karate program to begin Nov. 25

    The Jefferson Township Recreation Department’s Karate Program will begin a 5-week winter session on Monday, Nov. 25, 2019 and continue through Monday, Dec. 23, 2019. The program is open to school age children ages Kindergarten and up as well as adults. Jersey Judo Karate Academy is run by Sensei Rick Norris, a Kudan (9th degree black belt), and the Academy’s staff includes over 50 certified, fully trained black belts. Classes are held in the Community Lodge at Camp Jefferson on Weldon Road at 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for grades K- 4th grade and 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. for grades 5 through adults. Registration is now on-line through Community Pass. The program fee is $27.50 per person with a discount of $5 per person for each additional sibling enrolled.
