Vernon all-stars win district championship

Members of this year's 10U All-Star team are Michael Bello, Sebastian Castro, Andrew Hastick, Nate Kimkowski, Brayden Cosenza, Dylan Miller, Jack Tucker, Otto DeJager, Matt Rugel, Christopher Perrotta, Jack Paton, Joseph Mancini, and Tyler Dobrzynski and coaches are John DeJager, Chris Perrotta, Doug Dobrzynski, and John Tucker.
The Vernon 10U All-Star team completed an undefeated run and captured the Little League District 20 Championship last Tuesday in Sparta.
Otto DeJager pitched a complete game limiting High Point to two runs while Christopher Perrotta, Joseph Mancini, Jack Paton and Dylan Miller each provided multiple hits to secure the victory. With the win the Vernon 10U All-Stars capped an incredible 9-0 run through district play.
With the victory, Vernon will move on to play in the Little League Section 1 Tournament next week in Morristown.
