HAMBURG — Wallkill Valley Regional High School suffered a 45-7 loss to Whippany Park High School on Friday, Oct. 10 at home.
The winless Rangers haven't tasted victory since defeating Whippany Park, 27-6, last season.
The Whippany Park offense was fueled by running backs Mike Poulter and Michael Lacitignola. Both provided a strong one-two punch from the back field. Poulter rushed for 210 yards and four touchdowns. Lacitignola chipped in 75 yards rushing and a touchdown.
The Rangers, meanwhile, had a hard time penetrating the Wildcats' defense. They also could not hold back the ground and pound offense of the Wildcats.
