    May 4 Richard A. Greenwood, 47, of Wantage pled guilty to the third crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to possessing anabolic steroids in Wantage on December 8, 2008. Phillip H. Merring, 33, of Hawley Pa. pled guilty to the third crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to possessing a small amount of cocaine in Sparta on July 14, 2006. Jesse Reinhardt, 23, of Ogdensburg pled guilty to the fourth crime of possession of an imitation firearm. He admitted to shooting at people with an Air Soft pistol on October 30, 2008 in Ogdensburg. May 7 A juvenile pled guilty to third degree theft of auto. He was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 16, of Newton, was sentenced to 18 months probation, 30 days in the Juvenile Detention Center and a six-month loss of his driver’s license. He must also attend school every day and follow all home and school rules, have no contact with his co-defendants, submit a DNA sample, complete the Alternative to Detention Program, undergo random drug testing, pay fines of $45 and restitution totaling $5,563.76 to the victim and their insurance company. In February the juvenile and another juvenile co-defendant broke into a pickup truck located in the owner’s driveway in Hampton Township and drove away with the vehicle without the owner’s consent. While trying to avoid police the vehicle struck the police car. May 8 Robert Roe, 44 of Newton, was sentenced to one year and three months in jail with credit for 129 days already served and a 15-year loss of license. He must also pay court costs and fines. Roe pled guilty on March 30, 2009 to fourth degree joyriding, driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended and two counts of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. He admitted that on December 30, 2008 he took his step-father’s car without his permission. He was later involved in an accident and left the scene. Shortly thereafter, he ran the car off the road and hit a tree and then abandoned the car. May 11 Ryan McElwee, 28, of Franklin pled guilty to the third crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to possessing 12 bags of heroin in Sparta on October 7, 2008. Megan Durham, 24, of Newton pled guilty to the third crime of a controlled dangerous substance. She admitted to possessing a small amount of heroin on November 5, 2008 in Wantage. May 12 Linda A. Leenstra, age 47, of Andover was indicted on two counts of third degree aggravated assault and two counts of throwing bodily fluids. The Grand Jury alleges that on November 15, 2008, the Andover Township Police Department responded to a welfare check at the home of Linda A. Leenstra. When the officers advised Leenstra that they wanted to take her for medical attention, she became agitated and assaulted both officers. A Grand Jury indictment is a charge only. The defendant is presumed innocent until guilt may be proved at a jury trial. May 13 Keith Garcia, 28, of Bayonne, was sentenced to three years in a New Jersey state prison. He must also submit his DNA and pay Court costs. Garcia pled guilty on April 13 to third degree escape. He admitted that on or about December 29, 2007, he escaped from Mountainview Correctional Facility with the assistance of Kalif Rasul who provided him with a cell phone and transportation to avoid apprehension. May 14 A juvenile pled guilty to aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon, both crimes of the fourth degree. She was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 17, of Hamburg, was sentenced to probation until her 18th birthday with 20 days detention-suspended. She must also attend school every day and follow all home and school rules, undergo random drug testing, submit a DNA sample, continue counseling, pay $135 in court fines and $50 restitution. In February the juvenile assaulted a police officer while he was trying to place her in handcuffs. She was also in possession of a 13-inch knife at the time of her arrest. A juvenile pled guilty to third degree theft, third degree possession of CDS, violation of probation and under the influence of CDs. He was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 16, of Hopatcong, was sentenced to probation until his 18th birthday, 13 days in the Juvenile Detention Center, and a six-month loss of his driver’s license. He must also attend school every day and follow all home and school rules, submit a DNA sample, undergo random drug testing, follow aftercare requirement for drug treatment, pay $1130 in court fines and $2557.65 in restitution, joint and several with co-defendants. In October of last year the juvenile and two co-defendants stole bicycles from the back of a pick-up truck. He was also in possession of a controlled dangerous substance at the time and found to be under the influence of a drug. May 18 Amanda Galdo, 23, of Wayne pled guilty to robbery, a second degree crime. Galdo entered the Lakeland Bank located on Route 206 in Frankford on April 14 and handed the teller a note that indicated she was there to rob the bank. The teller handed Galdo the money and Galdo fled the scene. She was later apprehended by State Police on Route 206. May 19 Michael Bell, 18, of Highland Lakes, pled guilty to third degree attempted burglary. He attempted to break into a private residence by throwing a rock through a window, but left when a pit bull begin barking. Bruce Damore, 24, of Hamburg pled guilty to seven counts of burglary and one count of possession of crack cocaine, all third degree crimes, and to the fourth degree crime of aggravated assault.. Between December 16, 2007 and January 31, 2009 in Wantage, Sparta, Newton, Vernon, Hardyston, Hamburg, and Franklin, Damore and several co-defendants broke into vehicles and took items from them, including credit cards and checks, which they then used to make purchases and get cash for themselves. On March 25, 2008 in Franklin Borough, during an investigation involving the defendant using profane language towards fast food restaurant workers, a pat down revealed crack cocaine on his person. On August 6, 2008 in Newton, while being arrested for giving police false information, he spat at one of the officers who was attempting to escort him from the police vehicle into the police station. May 20 Henry J. Boucher, 27, of Branchvill, was sentenced to 180 days in jail and six-month loss of license. Boucher pled guilty to possession of a prohibited weapon, a crime of the fourth degree. He admitted to being in possession of an 18 inch sword that was concealed inside a walking stick and having drug paraphernalia after the car he was a passenger in was pulled over for a motor vehicle violation.
