    Nov. 10 John Dunn, age 44, of Ogdensburg pled guilty to the third degree crime of possession of cocaine. Sentencing is presently anticipated for January 9, 2009. He admitted to possessing approximately two grams of cocaine that was seized during a course of a motor vehicle traffic stop. Donald Clouse, age 28, of Newton, pled guilty to third degree burglary and fourth degree theft. Sentencing is presently anticipated for January 16, 2009. On September 23 in Newton, defendant and a juvenile co-defendant broke into the home of the victim taking a digital camera and drinking a bottle of wine in the home. Nov. 13 A juvenile pled guilty to third degree attempted burglary. He was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 16, of Branchville was sentenced to 12 months probation and a six month loss of his driver’s license. He must also complete 40 hours of community service, obtain his GED, complete drug treatment program, submit a DNA sample, undergo random drug testing, have no contact with co-defendants and pay restitution to the victim (to be determined). In August the juvenile and several co-defendants attempted to break into Dale’s Market in Branchville by hitting a door with a sledgehammer. A juvenile, age 15, of Hopatcong, was sentenced to 12 months probation on condition that he attend school every day and follow all home and school rules, undergo random drug testing, submit a DNA sample, have no contact with co-defendants and testify truthfully against them, pay court fines of $45, have not contact with the victims and pay restitution of $6278.15 to the victims joint and several. On July 30, in Hopatcong, the juvenile and several juvenile co-defendants spray-painted the garage of the victim and motor vehicles parked in the driveway. A juvenile pled guilty to three counts third degree burglary, third degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes and fourth degree criminal mischief. She was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 17, of Hamburg was sentenced to probation until her 19th birthday with 45 days in the Juvenile Detention Center - suspended and a six month loss of her driver’s license. She must also attend school every day and follow all home and school rules or get her GED, undergo a substance abuse evaluation and follow all recommendations, submit a DNA sample, undergo random drug testing, maintain employment, testify truthfully against co-defendants and pay restitution of $4158.51 joint and several to the victims. In April, the juvenile and an adult co-defendant broke into the Wagon Wheels Learning Center in Hardyston on two occasions taking money from the center. In May, along with several adult co-defendants, the juvenile broke into townhouses under construction causing damage to the structures while taking copper pipe. A third incident occurred in June when she was in possession of a knife that she used to puncture a tire. These incidents also occurred in Hardyston. A juvenile pled guilty on Nov. 13, to third-degree burglary and two counts of third and fourth degree criminal mischief. He was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 15, of Franklin, was sentenced to 12 months Probation on condition that he complete 50 hours of community service, attend school every day and follow all home and school rules, submit a DNA sample, undergo random drug testing pay $105 in court fines and $4028.55 in restitution to the victims. Between August 13 and August 23, defendant and two juvenile co-defendants, broke into various vehicles and damaged the vehicles by jumping on them and spray painting them. Mark VanBoerum, age 20, of Branchville pled guilty to three counts of assault by auto in the third degree, two counts of assault by auto in the fourth degree, one count of distribution of heroin, one count of possession of heroin, one count of burglary and one count of theft, all third degree crimes. Sentencing is presently anticipated for December 15. VanBoerum admitted that on August 20, 2006 in Hardyston, he recklessly drove a vehicle while intoxicated and caused bodily injuries to each of his five passengers. In a separate incident VanBoerum admitted that on February 21, 2008 in Frankford, he unlawfully entered the residence and stole property of Robert Fox. He admitted to possession of heroin in Frankford on Aug. 2 and distribution of heroin in Green Township on April 28. Nov. 18 Stanley D. Bamber, Jr., age 49, of Tobyhanna, PA, was indicted with theft of a firearm, a third degree crime. Patricia Jean Urban, age 39, of Riverview, Florida, was indicted with unlawful possession of a weapon, a third degree crime. Michael Royce, age 20, of Hamburg was indicted, with terroristic threats, a third degree crime, resisting arrest, a fourth degree crime, resisting arrest with threat of force, a third degree crime, obstruction, a fourth degree crime, and hindering apprehension a fourth degree crime, as well as theft of a firearm, a third degree crime. Ian Rosenberg, age 42, of Hawley, Pa., was indicted with theft by deception, a third degree crime, and bad check, a third degree crime. Nov. 20 A juvenile pled guilty to second degree eluding and several motor vehicle charges including DWI, driving while suspended and careless driving. He was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 17, of Newton was sentenced to 60 days in the Juvenile Detention Center with credit for four days and a 12 month loss of his driver’s license. He must also submit a DNA sample, have not contact with the victim, undergo random drug testing and pay $1664 in motor vehicle and court fines. In April of 2008, in Stillwater and Hampton townships, he was driving a vehicle when he eluded police by speeding away from the Stillwater Police He subsequently lost control of his vehicle and crashed. A juvenile was found guilty by a trial on Sept. 4 of burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, all crimes of the third degree. He pled guilty on October 2 to third degree possession CDS; DP harassment and a violation of a previous probation. He was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, 17, of Sparta, was sentenced to four consecutive 60-day sentences in the Juvenile Detention Center with credit for 57 days and a six-month loss of his driver’s license. He must also submit a DNA sample, undergo random drug testing, pay $1,190 in court fines and $500 restitution to one of his victims. In October of 2007, in Byram, he and several adult co-defendants, broke into the home of the victim, while the family was asleep upstairs, taking various items, including swords and a laptop computer. He sold the swords. In January, in Stanhope, he was in possession of a controlled dangerous substance while in school and was caught giving it to another student. In March, in Stanhope, he harassed a female student by offensively touching her while in school. He also had a violation of probation for testing positive for marijuana. Nov. 21 A juvenile pled guilty to third degree aggravated assault. He was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, 16, of Byram, was sentenced to 12 months probation with seven days detention, credit for four days. He must also attend school every day and follow all home and school rules, submit a DNA sample, undergo random drug testing, have no contact with the victim, undergo a substance abuse evaluation and follow all recommendations, pay $45 in court fines and restitution to the victim. On Oct. 15 in Stanhope, the juvenile struck the victim in the head with a skateboard without provocation and caused injures requiring stitches. Dec. 1 Stephen McNeer, 22, of Mountain Lakes pled guilty to burglary, a third degree crime. On September 6 in Hardyston, police responded to a call advising two individuals dressed in dark clothing were observed attempting to gain entry into vehicles in the parking lot of an apartment complex. The defendant left the area before police arrived but was observed a short time later by one of the officers and arrested. Tracy Davenport, 21, of Ogdensburg was sentenced to five years drug court probation, 141 days county jail, in-patient substance abuse treatment, 10 days of community service, $400 in fines and $3, 896 in restitution. She pled guilty on Oct. 20 to burglary, shoplifting and issuing a bad check. She admitted that on July 21 she stole 23 DVD’s from a Shop-Rite in Montague. She admitted that on May 20 in Hardyston she entered buildings under construction with the intent to steal copper pipe from inside of them. She also admitted that on June 30 in Hardyston she issued a bad check to the Commerce Bank in the amount of $800. Matthew M. Morley, age 27, of Vernon pled guilty to the third degree crimes of burglary, theft and receiving stolen property. Sentencing is presently anticipated for December 19. He admitted that on August 4 he burglarized a home in Vernon and took more than $500 worth of property from it. He also admitted that on August 8 he was in possession of property that he knew to be stolen while in Franklin. Christopher Mullen, age 22, of Sparta pled guilty to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Sentencing is presently anticipated for December 22. He admitted to possessing a small amount of cocaine in Sparta on August 10. Anthony Bellina, age 23, of Bloomfield pled guilty to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and to driving while suspended. Sentencing is presently anticipated for January 16, 2009. He admitted to possessing a small amount of cocaine during a traffic stop. Victoria M. Mears, age 20, of Wantage was sentenced to three years probation and 30 days on the Sheriff’s Labor Assistance Program. She must pay court costs and undergo drug and alcohol evaluations and a mental health evaluation. She must also obtain gainful employment and submit her DNA to probation. Mears pled guilty on January 22, 2008 to third degree fraudulent use of a credit card. Mears admitted to using a credit card belonging to a Wantage resident to make several purchases at the Franklin Lukoil, Bloomfield McDonalds and Exotic Nails in Rockaway. Dec. 2 Cindi E. Outer, age 52, of Port Jervis, New York pled guilty to fourth degree possession of a stolen credit card. Sentencing is presently anticipated for December 23. She admitted to using a credit card stolen from a Sparrowbush, New York resident who was shopping at the Montague ShopRite to purchase cigarettes and other items at the Montague Citgo.
