Tables and chairs available for local families
Newton. Project Self-Sufficiency is making kitchen and table furniture available after a recent donation.
New tables and chairs suitable for use in a kitchen are available at no cost to local families, thanks to a recent donation to Project Self-Sufficiency.
The solid wood table comes with a set of 4 chairs. Thirty sets of tables and chairs were donated to the agency’s Kitchen Table Project by Synchrony Bank; the furniture will be distributed to income-eligible families on a first-come, first-serve basis through the Sussex County Family Success Center at Project Self-Sufficiency.
“The kitchen is often seen as the heart of a family’s home and what could be more symbolic of our mission to support local families than a beautiful new table for family gatherings,” remarked Deborah Berry-Toon, Executive Director of Project Self-Sufficiency. “We are grateful to the employees of Synchrony Bank for offering such a generous donation to local families.”
