I first met Donna Carey, who is running for the Board of Education in Hardyston Township, many years ago when we worked for the same company. At that time, we both had the same position as a draftsperson and became friends.
Donna was smart enough to know that to become more successful, she would have to obtain an engineering degree. After years of night classes and determination, she earned that degree and ended up being my supervisor.
She later went on to start her own successful company.
Donna married and started a family in Hardyston Township. She raised three children and taught them the importance of a good education could be a key to a successful career.
Today, after being exceptional students in the school system of Hardyston, they are all attending college on their way to becoming solid citizens.
I know that Donna would do everything she could possibly do to ensure every Hardyston student gets a chance to be successful.
