It’s common sense to outlaw assault weapons, high-capacity magazines
Isn’t a rifle and/or regular handgun enough power to use to hunt or for protection?
After Sandy Hook and all the other mass killings, common sense to me is to outlaw assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.
A national ban is necessary since people move freely from state to state thus state laws are easily bypassed. Children should feel safe at school and adults feel safe at their place of worship, food shopping or mingling with friends.
Having a rifle and/or gun should require a person to be of a mature age and demeanor - common sense to me. Having to have an assault weapon (unless you are military or police) - I would like to know why?
When the Constitution was written, there were no assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. Change happens and common sense should kick in.
