Like many Americans, I first read it in my high school American history class. Our teacher assigned us to choose one of the king’s “refusals” and act it out with passion.
On this July 4, I finished reading “Patriots: The Men who Started the American Revolution” by A.J. Langguth.
He profiles nine leaders and the wars they fought, be it on a muddy battlefield or in the sweaty walls of Carpenter’s Hall in Philadelphia.
I plan to read it again!
