Girl is two-time state champ
FRANKLIN. Kyra Bradley, 12, won in the girls junior 85-pound division.



Kyra Bradley, 12, of Franklin is a two-time state wrestling champion.
She competed for the Vernon Vikings Police Athletic League (PAL) recreation team and the Fightin’ Irish Wrestling Club in Lyndhurst in the 2025 New Jersey Scholastic State Championships, held at CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton.
She was in the girls junior 85-pound division.
A year earlier, she won the state title in the girls novice 75-pound class.
She began wrestling at age 5. Her older brother, Thomas, and younger sister, Abigail, both are part of the same clubs.
Abigail finished in fourth place in the girls novice 75-pound division.
Thomas made his state tournament debut as a cadet in the 138-pound category, placing sixth.
They are coached by their father, Daniel, alongside Coach Jeff Monaco of Vernon PAL and Coach Mike Burke of the Fightin’ Irish Wrestling Club.
